A Vision from Kandy
The journey of the Lanka Record Book began with a simple, yet profound observation by our visionary founder, Dharshan Sathiskumar. Born in the historic city of Kandy and educated at the esteemed Ranabima Royal College, Dharshan noticed a significant void: while Sri Lankans consistently achieved remarkable feats in various fields, there was no dedicated, centralized national platform to officially document and celebrate these local accomplishments. International recognition was sporadic, but a specific “home” for Sri Lankan records was missing.
Driven by a deep passion to inspire national pride and provide a deserving stage for these unsung heroes, Dharshan embarked on a mission to create what would become the Lanka Record Book. It’s a commitment to ensuring that the unique spirit, talent, and perseverance of Sri Lankans are not only witnessed but also immortalized.
